Grief Training
Helping families through grief is a sensitive part of medical care. Some professionals have had the benefit of targeted Grief Support training. The Green Light Foundation Grief Training program was created to sponsor grief support education for medical personnel.
RTS (formerly Resolve Through Sharing) is the program that many of the West Michigan hospitals use. It has been designed to provide consistent support to families who have experienced early pregnancy loss, stillbirth or newborn death. Staff are trained to provide sensitive, responsive care when a loss occurs. The Green Light Foundation sponsors training seminars and provides hospitals with necessary materials.
